Our children, youth, and young families are a cherished part of our AHCC family. We offer Sunday School for children in 5th grade and under on Sunday mornings at 9:30. Children are welcome in 10:30 worship, but we also provide a nursery for those under three. Children age three through fifth grade are welcome to be in worship until the Children’s Moment is over, then they may either remain in worship or go to a Junior Worship class that is age appropriate. Junior Worship is a time for children to learn about the Bible through skits, crafts, videos, and other fun activities. Our children and youth also perform a Christmas program during worship during the Advent season.
Our Chi Rho group (grades 5-9) meets twice monthly on Sunday afternoons for an outing, short lesson, or service project. In the summer, the children and youth are encouraged to attend Camp Christian for a week of learning about Christ and how He works in our lives.
Young Adults and Families
The young adults and families of AHCC enjoy getting together for a variety of activities throughout the year. Some are for the whole family, such as nature hikes, pool parties, Super Bowl parties, or a trip to a pumpkin farm. Other activities are offered as adult night outs (while childcare is provided at the church), which have included game nights, dinners, shows, and even a murder mystery party.
